Margaret Ogas (she/her) is a dancer and choreographer based in the Twin Cities. Using an interdisciplinary approach rooted in dance, her works tell surreal everyday stories through a collage of movement, text and sound.Ogas's choreography has been presented in spaces throughout the Twin Cities, including the Walker Art Center, the Cedar Cultural Center, the Minnesota Museum of American Art, Candy Box Dance Festival, Center for Performing Arts, and on sidewalks in South Minneapolis. She has received grant support from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (2022) and was awarded the Naked Stages Fellowship at Pillsbury House + Theatre (2021). Margaret has been a core collaborator with the Taja Will Ensemble since 2018, through which she has performed on tour in Boston and performed in the feature-length dance film, "Líneas de Sangre" (2021).Margaret is a teaching artist, specializing in modern technique, improvisation, composition, and creative movement. She is currently a youth instructor at Young Dance in Saint Paul. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
